COA's Elder Abuse Steering
Committee leverages the expertise of its membership: social agency
representatives, health care professionals, police services, and
seniors. Its current focus is on increasing awareness,
establishing a co-ordinated response to elder abuse for the City
of Ottawa, and developing a training program for police officers
and other professionals who may encounter cases of elder abuse in
their work. |
