The directory contains information on local community agencies and programs that would be most helpful at the initial level of response when the abuse is first reported or made known to the professional. The Council on Aging of Ottawa is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all seniors. This includes advocating for the prevention of elder abuse, increasing recognition of elder abuse, and assisting seniors who are at risk, through promotion of services that will enable them to obtain the support they need.
